The Museum is one of the premier Photo and Film locations in Southern California. Although outside the LA zone, it offers a unique view into Los Angeles transportation from yesteryear. It has the largest collection of rail equipment and artifacts in the western United States. Although the collection focuses on the Southern California region, there are examples of trains and trolleys from all over the USA and the world, including Japan, Ireland, and Canada. There are nearly 100 acres of property and miles of rails in a variety of settings.
Locations around the Museum grounds take you from the late 1800’s to present day industrial.

Anyone filming on the Museum property must obtain permits from the city of Perris. All filming must carry insurance. The Museum’s mission is presenting railway history to the public. Filming must always portray railroading in a positive light and safely.
