About Southern California Railway Museum

The Southern California Railway Museum preserves, restores, and interprets artifacts, both large and small, of the rail transportation industry. The Museum was founded in 1956 in Los Angeles, and since then has become the largest railway museum in the Western United States. The Museum is home to an extensive collection of historic locomotives, railcars, trolleys, model trains and much more. A variety of events are hosted throughout the year, and the Museum is available for private and corporate rentals. Trains and trolleys operate for the public every weekend. The Museum is a California non-profit organization and volunteers, members, associates, sponsors, and private donations make museum operation and development possible.
