1PM Dive into the world of Emergency Response

Scouts will put their problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test as they dive into the world of emergency response with the Search and Rescue Merit Badge! During this interactive program, participants will learn how search and rescue operations are organized, how rescuers stay safe in the field, and how to work effectively as part of a coordinated team. Scouts will explore techniques for locating missing persons, setting up incident command structures, and using communication tools—all within the unique and dynamic setting of the Southern California Railway Museum. It’s an exciting, hands-on experience that builds confidence, leadership, and readiness to help others in times of need.
