Learn About Fun Ways to Volunteer at the Southern California Railway Museum

From 4:00-8:00PM come visit SCRM and meet the Division Managers and Lead Volunteers responsible for operating our trains and trolleys, restoring and preserving our collections, docent and interpretation services, maintaining the Museum campus, and planning and facilitating events. Learn about what each division does and the possible ways you can get involved as a volunteer.

Middleton and Harvey House will be OPEN during this evening event.

Sacramento Northern 653 Electric Steeplecab is the scheduled locomotive.

Parking, Entry to Grounds, and Entry to Open Exhibits are FREE*

  • Parking & Event Entry FREE
  • Weekend Rides: Children under 5 ride Free with Adult; Children 5-11 – $8, Adult/Ages 12+ – $12

July Saturday Evening Departures (July 3rd, 17th, & 31st*):

  • Mainline Train: 4:00PM, 5:00PM, 6:00PM, 7:00PM, 8:00PM
  • Loop line Trolley: On demand, 4:00PM-8:15PM

* Please note that trains & trolleys will ONLY be operating in the evening on July 3rd, 17th, and 31st with no daytime departures available on these dates.

Regular Departure times (Non-Summer Months):

  • Mainline Passenger Train Departures: 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm & 4:00 pm
  • Mainline Electric Departures (if available): 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 12:30 pm, 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm & 3:30 pm
  • Loop Line Operations Schedule (On Demand): 9:15 am to 4:00 pm

Car Barn 1 is now open to the General Public Weekends and during Events! Car Barns 2, 4, and 6 (Grizzly Flats) will be open depending on volunteer availability.
