Hop on Board for the Dinosaur Express at Southern California Railway Museum, featuring “Buddy” from the PBS SoCal KIDS Show “Dinosaur Train” — plus a brand-new Lego Masterbuild Competition!

Southern California Railway Museum is excited to announce the return of the Dinosaur Express, a unique, outdoor, interactive experience created in partnership with PBS. Buddy the Dinosaur will be at the Museum to meet his fans and highlight his favorite topics of Paleontology, Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Lary, Pery, Spike and Wigwag, SCRM’s resident dinos, will also make appearances throughout the day. We’ve also wrangled our newest baby dinosaurs and are teaching them how to be train conductors – so don’t miss our newest additions on each train ride!

Lego Master Build Competition and Building Zones

This year, we’re also thrilled to introduce our Lego Masterbuild Competition, showcasing incredible Lego creations alongside colorful Lego displays.

Plus, don’t miss the hands-on Lego build zones where guests of all ages can create their own masterpieces in either classic brick or duplo!

Meet The Lego Builders!

Allyson Gail

The Dinosaur Express Event will feature esteemed builders organized by Allyson Gail, whose works have been featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show, at the LEGO House in Denmark, and on Season 4 of Lego Masters.

P.T. McEwen

CHARACTER: “Buddy”

P.T. McEwen is an active and award winning member of the LUGOLA and is the current LEGO Ambassador for the Inland Empire. He is best known for his metropolis builds, presenting a session on this topic in March at BrickCentric LEGO convention in Burbank.

Suzanne Hansen

CHARACTER: “The Conductor”

LUGOLA member Suzanne Hansen has displayed at numerous events and competitions, taking 1st Place and Chairman’s Choice at the Kern County Fair and tied for 1st at the Solvangin Danish Days competition.

Tristan Kilmer

CHARACTER: “Boris Tyrannosaurus”

Tristan Kilmer is a creative professional in the film industry but also a passionate Lego fan ever since the age of 5 years old! His favorite themes include bionicle, city, space, and super heroes.
